Africa-Press – Lesotho. Alliance Group Holding Investment Company popularly known as Alliance Insurance has launched a campaign called ‘Rea Utloisisa’ aims to reinstate Basotho who had lost their policy due to

financial constraints and the Covid-19 Pandemic. The launch was held at Alliance compound on Tuesday. Speaking at the launch, Alliance Head of Marketing and Communications Makeabetsoe

Mabaleha mentioned that the purpose of the campaign is to extend a helping hand to alliance insurance customers who were not able to continue paying their

premiums due to financial constraints. “The campaign will benefit many Basotho who want to reinstate their policies and were not able to pay for them due to

those life problems I have pointed. About M100, 000 will be allocated to our customers who will reinstate their policy. We are going to assist our customers

by paying for their policies for only one month especially those under the Alliance legal who were paying premiums for properties such as car and house

insurance,” she said. Mabaleha highlighted that in 2020-2021 they sat down and assessed the situation and came up with a product called Alliance Premium Holiday, a premium whereby they paid

for their customers’ premiums for the term of 12 months after realising that a lot of clients had difficulties to pay for their policies. She said some of

these people lost their family members who were bread winners. These are the people who have carried the company to this point. Others were retrenched while

others’ wages were cut due to the pandemic. The budget used was M2.8 million whereby about 800 Basotho benefited from. “We also came up with a capital funding for struggling businessmen and women so as

to give them a motive and a drive to raise their businesses. One other important thing was collaborating with other organizations that are mostly engaged in social welfare and those that are working together in the fight

against the Covid-19 pandemic for the well-being of Basotho,” she concluded. Alliance Insurance Head of Alliance Legal Lekhooa Montši stated that they have been going out every year to assist many Basotho as they

have seen that a lot of them are struggling due to the decline of the economy. He said alliance insurance is committed to always extend a helping hand to meet

the needs of Basotho. He insisted that they intend to live by their motto: ‘ALWAYS THERE FOR BASOTHO’. Alliance Insurance has been in existence for over 29 years in Lesotho and has created many opportunities for many Basotho with their policies costing as little as M30 per month.
