Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>An African trap artist, Kekeletso Mofoka of Korokoro, popularly known as \u2018Lemeke oa mochini\u2019 shares about his newly released album named \u2018Moshemane oa ho li bona\u2019.<\/p>\n

The album was released on the 26th September 2020, comprising of 15 solo trap hits that include; Ke lauoe, kea kena, Sekoti mpate, Hlasela and Seotsanyane among others.<\/p>\n

Mofoka disclosed that the collection was inspired by challenges which he encountered in his life journey. He recalled painful moments including the burial day of his mother which marks the day he last saw his father.<\/p>\n

He says most of his songs evolve around his life story which has been a heartbreaking journey, very hard to escape his mind since childhood. He conversely commends the experience that arouse the artist in him.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll that made me the strong man I am today,\u201d said the now optimistic Mofoka.<\/p>\n

Mofoka calls himself a \u201cborn creative\u201d despite his background. He says, \u201cI grew up showing creativity in all spheres; creative poetry, scripts, stories and music\u201d.<\/p>\n

He shares that he joined the music industry in 2010 when he completed high school, collaborating in a Hip hop crew with his schoolmates, Rorisang Takalimane, Semang Khali, Keketso Sesinyi and Arty Farmer who is still<\/p>\n

pushing to date. Since then, he says he always admired vernacular artists more than any other, modeling his work around his idols in the game, the likes of Papa<\/p>\n

Zee, Skebza D with the trumpet and lots of materials from Maths \u2018Dipalo\u2019. \u201cListening to those legends played a huge role on how I am doing my music currently.<\/p>\n

Also having attended school at Mafeteng, specifically Mt. Tabor High School in Thabana-Morena played a part,\u201d he reflects. He says being a natural music lover, he got exposed to so much<\/p>\n

content which he still applies in his music and that is where he learnt deep Sesotho words from Famo content and the delivery they used to express themselves.<\/p>\n

Mofoka says growing up, he mingled with Famo artists who imparted in him, the African identity \u201cwhich explains my ability to be the hard core deep vernacular<\/p>\n

lyricist\u201d. Apart from that he listened to a lot of mainstream hip hop by, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Wale, Drake, and Kendrick Lamar. He says the album contains<\/p>\n

many attributes from his idols, making a diverse collection. He was proud to share that in 2013, he joined forces with a professional recording team, Mechini crew which is a movement by some talented artists like<\/p>\n

Moddaw oa Mochini, Palvo oa Mochini, Blakah and Kidbeat whose most famous song at the movement is \u2018Turn you on\u2019, which took straight to the Ultimate Music Awards, obtaining second spot after<\/p>\n

Selimo Thabane. Mofoka highlights that despite the challenges he met, he has perceived that he is mostly appreciated and he gets corporates adverts from big<\/p>\n

companies. \u201cI have realized that talent alone is not enough for financial support. I want to build good relations with big companies and have my own recording label,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n
