Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>The Covid-19 Center for Action (NACOSEC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health has confirmed that the crisis situation caused by Covid-19 is getting worse.<\/p>\n

Giving weekly reports yesterday, the Director of Administration and Service Delivery at the national Covid-19 combat center Mr Thabo Ntoi explained that on the African continent as a whole the status of the virus is declining.<\/p>\n

He said it had dropped from 300,000 infections a week to just under 50,000. \u201cThe region with the highest prevalence of infection is the Western hemisphere, followed by the southern hemisphere where South Africa is the most contaminated region in the southern hemisphere.<\/p>\n

Lesotho, within the country, seems to be in a state of flux, \u201dNtoi explained. He indicated that the country as a whole this week had 5,301 people compared to 5,682 last week and a total of 391,153 people tested this week.<\/p>\n

He said 60 people this week had been diagnosed with the disease. when they were 70 in the past, and the total has risen to 32,599. \u201cIn the case of diseases this week no one has been confirmed dead of the disease when last week he was alone.<\/p>\n

The infection rate is still at 1% and very low at 5% which is the peak of whether the country is in control or not, \u201dhe said. He added that the number of illnesses and illnesses in hospitals was declining as infections were also declining from the highest in December, at 8,000 and this month less than a thousand.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis disease has been in a manageable situation, where it was once high when we were 15% in the first week so now we are at 4%. These diseases were high in the first week when they were 10 and have been declining and so on until now, \u201dhe explained.<\/p>\n

He said the number had risen to 822,645 which is 52% of the target set and this week it was 20,068 people who were fully enrolled. \u201cThe main thing that the public should be aware of is that the disease is still present.<\/p>\n
