Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>The Thaba-Bosiu Ha-Qhali community hosted a three-day training program for beekeeping from 20 to 22 May 2020, beekeeping with the assistance of the Ministry of Forestry and the Metolong administration. In an interview with Qiloane Local Government Candidate, Mr Mojaki Moqalane, he explained that the training was for 38 people. .<\/p>\n

Moqalane said in order to make the project a success, Metolong provided M10,000, as well as compensation for water connections that affected their village, adding that they came up with the plan as a community to improve their community.<\/p>\n

, and he put them in touch with the Ministry of Forestry to assist them with beekeeping skills.<\/p>\n

The King of Ha-Qhali King Sekoabola Nt\u0161eke promised that after this training the lives of the people of Ha-Qhali will be greatly improved because they will be empowered with skills to overcome the challenges they face including the need for work and this widespread poverty, exacerbated by the COVID-19 epidemic.<\/p>\n

He explained that his community as a whole would be involved in the project, and that their health would also improve if they used beeswax as it was essential for good health.<\/p>\n

Thaba-Bosiu Forestry Representative Ms Manoko Charlie said beekeeping would change the lives of the people because the demand for honey was very high and people would like to come from Lesotho pure honey (raw honey).<\/p>\n

He said Lesotho was in dire need of beekeepers but the market for honey was plentiful both locally and internationally in terms of its benefits to human life.<\/p>\n

Charlie said he was overjoyed when he realized that young people had excelled in training and that this was a sign that they would work hard to make a difference in their lives, adding that the future of Lesotho was in the hands of see, along with its economic development.<\/p>\n
