Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>The Lesotho Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has announced the forthcoming Corporate Social Responsibility gala dinner scheduled for March 18th, at which it will raise funds for the improvement<\/p>\n

of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The event will also recognize the role that individuals and corporations played during Covid-19 pandemic. At the media briefing that was held<\/p>\n

on Wednesday, The Entrepreneurs Network (TEN) Director Rethabile Shale stated that TEN has partnered with LCCI and BUY Lesotho as the stakeholders in entrepreneurship and to jointly achieve their objective to strengthen SMEs in<\/p>\n

the country. She said the gala dinner will be a closing ceremony for the #Expo 2021 that ran from the 21st -27th November 2021. For his part, LCCI Secretory General<\/p>\n

(SG) Fako Hakane said this is a cultural event whereby the business community gather to celebrate their achievements and to network. He said they will<\/p>\n

specifically celebrate with businesses and companies that contributed from 2020 to 2022, being the time when the country was in dire need of support in the<\/p>\n

fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. \u201cMost of these businesses are members of LCCI,\u201d he said. \u201cThere will be a handover of trophies and certificates as a sign of appreciation.<\/p>\n

There will also be an auction of designed oiled painting by the best professional design expert in Lesotho,\u201d he said. Attendants are expected to dress in<\/p>\n

black and bookings are open until March 15th. The event will be hosted at Victory hall. LCCI was established in 1976 as a national and broadly based business association open to all business<\/p>\n

activities, it is the oldest non-profit aligned and independent constitution; its members come from all political backgrounds and affiliations. LCCI mandate addresses all economic, social and political issues affecting the business community in one way or another.<\/p>\n
