Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>The Academic Forum for Development of Lesotho (AFDeL) has announced that South Africans are planning to evacuate all foreigners in South Africa as they appear to be stealing their jobs.<\/p>\n

This was revealed on Wednesday at a \u2018press conference. The report also indicated that Basotho holders of South African work permits are now legally barred from renewing their permits and are about to expire.<\/p>\n

AFDeL Deputy President Mr. Tefetso Mothibe explained that they have noticed that the situation in Lesotho and South Africa is very compromising for the Basotho people even though the two countries are neighbors.<\/p>\n

He pointed out that globally, only two countries, San Marino and Vatican City, were besieged by Italy and that between the three countries there was an agreement for a free movement of people to work everywhere.<\/p>\n

AFDeL will be holding a conference where they will talk more about issues affecting Lesotho’s relations with South Africa, especially during Lesotho’s elections.<\/p>\n

The event will take place from March 19 to 21 this year, and will be conducted online. AFDeL works \u2018in partnership with the Transformation Resource Center (TRC), the National University (NUL) and the Free State University (UFS).<\/p>\n

\u2018It is in this context that relations will be developed that will make the lives of the Basotho safer and better for South Africans.<\/p>\n
