Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>Lesotho Post Bank (LPB) donated food parcels amounting to over M5000 to Reitumetse Church Project in Mazenod as part of its humanitarian responsibility.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the ceremony, LPB Chief Sales \u2018Mathabo T\u0161ehlo said every year they draw up a budget and the manager instructs certain amount to be included as part of their mandate to give back to the community.<\/p>\n

\u201cLPB is for Basotho, they are our greatest supporters hence we decide to give back to them every<\/p>\n

year to show our appreciation. We remembered our older people for we are who we are today because of them,\u201d T\u0161ehlo explained. Reitumetse Church Project President<\/p>\n

Sister Sylvia Jone said LPB has brightened their home with special gifts, she, on behalf of the elderly expressed how thankful they are for the honour.<\/p>\n

of 58. The eldest is a 102 years old grandmother, who follows the departed 104 year old earlier this year. Addressing the homage, LPB Managing Director (MD) Molefi Leqhaoe applauded the Olds on their tidiness, and<\/p>\n

complemented them on how gracefully they have been favoured to have reached their age. He lauded them for comprehending with the World Health Organization<\/p>\n

(WHO) protocols regarding COVID-19, that they still put on their masks and maintain social distancing even though it is not easy for their age. He added that when his team requested<\/p>\n

to join in the handing over ceremony, he was swapped with work but since he had they were going to the Olds, he made an exception for he was interested in<\/p>\n

seeing the environment they live in. He said he was pleased and satisfied as he took a tour to monitor the interior and exterior surroundings, therefore he<\/p>\n

highly praised the Sisters. Leqhaoe outlined that they are not only interested in the people\u2019s (clients) money but also they have their interest at heart, saying this is why they give back to the community.<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cone of LPB mandates is to preserve part of its profits for community developments, we aim at serving the nation as we give back in different places and categories.<\/p>\n
