Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>The people of Thaba-Bosiu are constantly crying because this place, which holds the history of the Basotho community, is not benefiting them as a community.<\/p>\n

According to Qiloane Local Government Nominee, Mr Mojaki Moqalane in an interview with The Voice of the Nation, Thaba-Bosiu is a very important place for the people living in it and for the Basotho community as a whole as it holds the history of the local community.<\/p>\n

Continuing, Moqalane said, \u201cthe Qiloane Local Government Council is improving Thaba-Bosiu by planting grass to prevent soil erosion, and is also constantly planting trees to keep it looking good for the benefit of the people.<\/p>\n

The Secretary of the Masekoeng King, Ms \u2018Masebolelo\u2019 Neko, on the other hand, explained that the people have approached the Local Government Nominee because they are still in need of improvements, and the Ministry can meet them with the money for tourists.<\/p>\n

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Culture, Dr. Mamoeketsi Ntho, while presenting the department’s side, pointed out that historic sites, including Thaba-Bosiu, are encouraged to form a Community Conservation Forum.<\/p>\n

the Ministry can help them to benefit from the resources available in the area. Continuing, Ntho also said that the recommendation is for the Qiloane Local Government Deputy to visit his Ministry for guidance.<\/p>\n

He pointed out that the Ministry will assist the residents of such areas if they do not form committees, and are officially registered to receive a 10% share when people visit there so that they can successfully make improvements that will benefit them. as a nation.<\/p>\n
