The bank said in its last week statement<\/p>\n<p>that the South African based broker is not authorised to run its operations in Lesotho. \u201cThe Central Bank of Lesotho, in its capacity as the Commissioner of Financial Institutions, the Registrar of<\/p>\n<p>Capital Markets, informs members of the public that it has become aware that a company called AEEX South Africa Ltd, which is based in the Republic of South<\/p>\n<p>Africa, is soliciting and collecting funds from the public as investments in their products under the pretense of \u201cgold bond offering,\u201d reads the bank<\/p>\n<p>statement in pertinent part. The statement further says, \u201cmembers of the public are urged to exercise caution with their hard earned money and desist from entering into financial agreements with unlicensed financial institutions<\/p>\n<p>and or un-authorised companies based both in Lesotho and outside the country. \u201d The regulator further accuses the securities company of violating the laws.<\/p>\n<p>The CBL had promised to take legal action against this company.
