Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>The Center for Research, Innovation and International Development Project \u2013 Eureka Groupement d\u2019Interet Economique (GIE), Center for Inter-University Research for Sustainable Development (CIRPS)<\/p>\n

in collaboration with Trans Vanguard Lesotho have revealed their partnership in a project that aims to promote scientific and cultural exchange. This partnership will open<\/p>\n

scholarship opportunities for post-secondary students to undertake professional development under online courses ranging from three-month professional diploma.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe principal [objectives] of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) reached by the parties is to promote scientific and<\/p>\n

cultural exchange; enhance the technological know-how of Basotho as well as to facilitate technology transfer from Europe to Africa; vice-versa; and to jointly coordinate<\/p>\n

the ongoing \u201cThree-Month or Six-Month or One-Year Highly Subsidized Online Professional Diploma Programmes to capacitate Africa\u201d (especially Basotho in<\/p>\n

this regard) by training and re-skilling them in order to meet up with the contemporary demands of the post COVID-19 Labour Markets,\u201d this is per the statement outlining the partnership agreement.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the media briefing on Tuesday, Trans Vanguard Lesotho Director Reentseng Letsoela said the association was formed in 2017 by professionals from development and business fraternities<\/p>\n

with the purpose to empower and engage adolescent girls, young women and at risk people to realize their potentials in leadership, community development<\/p>\n

and green entrepreneurship. \u201cWe partnered with Eureka institution in February 2022 and found that it has opportunities for scholarships and projects from the<\/p>\n

European Union (EU), which aim to assist underdeveloped countries in Africa. Trans Vanguard wholeheartedly welcomed the partnership project as its objectives<\/p>\n

are in line with its vision and mission,\u201d he said. Letsoela encouraged Basotho, especially those who are searching for post-secondary opportunities, to utilize<\/p>\n

Management, Climate Change and Renewable Energy that are to be accessed online. \u201cThis will be the first scholarship opportunity by EUREKA in Lesotho, it will<\/p>\n

award \u20ac2000 for each course excluding $40 administration fee. The Lesotho Ambassador to Rome, Italy Chief Thesele Maseribane said there are plenty of scholarship opportunities for<\/p>\n

Basotho in Italy and the entire Europe, though they are not being used. He urged Trans Vanguard and the Private Sector Foundation of Lesotho to work hard to<\/p>\n

recruit more Basotho. \u201cEUREKA is one of the fairest entities and I complement Trans Vanguard for establishing this partnership which will help undergraduates<\/p>\n

and graduates to further improve their skills,\u201d he said. Maseribane said this opportunity will enable youth to partake in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), saying it is<\/p>\n
