Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>Artiste Thato Mohapi known with his stage name, Mosotho Let\u0161ela has released a debut single titled Pelo Eaka, featuring Kommanda Obbs and Mathabo. Mosotho<\/p>\n

Let\u0161ela started rapping in 1997 imitating well know rappers and only jotted down his own lyrics in 2003 as part of a high school rap crew called the \u201cThe<\/p>\n

Bombsquad\u201d. He said that the single Pelo Eaka was released on September 11th 2020 marking his first single as an artiste where he sings in Sesotho and IsiZulu.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was also featured in a song called \u201cUp in the Club\u201d earlier this year by an amazing female singer<\/p>\n

and songwriter, Mathabo,\u201d he said. He said the hit single was inspired by producer \u2013 Freshman DJ who sent him the beat in early March. \u201cI was fascinated by the emotion in the beat and decided to<\/p>\n

share it with Kommanda Obbs who was also inspired,\u201d he said. He underlined that the song\u2019s message is about the human heart, its ability to endure pain and<\/p>\n

suffering. Adding that it is a tribute to the triumph of the human spirit against life\u2019s challenges, the heart\u2019s ability to keep pumping in the phase of<\/p>\n

heartache from a romantic relationship going sour, the pain of losing a loved one, trauma caused by any hurtful personal experience or even being victimized<\/p>\n

in the workplace. \u201cCollaborating with Kommanda Obbs and Mathabo in this song was a natural process. I sent him a beat and since he is the king of chorus, I asked him to write the chorus.<\/p>\n

It really captured the essence of the beat and was a very traditional hip hop in its bounce. Mathabo was the perfect candidate as she is able to bring emotion into<\/p>\n

her singing and her voice is exquisite, it was a no brainer to use her,\u201d he explained. Mosotho Let\u0161ela noted that the biggest challenge for him was to conjure up the<\/p>\n

confidence to work with Kommanda Obbs and the pressure was immense. He added that through his support he was able to come up with what he thinks is a very<\/p>\n

unique product. He said the single is available on Apple Music and iTunes, Spotify, Tidal,Sound Cloud, Deezer as well as YouTube and the lyrical video is<\/p>\n

also available on www. tsepe. co. za. He said the internet and social media are the key mediums of marketing and selling music in the 21st century. The<\/p>\n

internet has given artists the ability to reach a wider market and to be able to distribute their music through multiple stores. He said for his single<\/p>\n

specifically they decided to release it only on these digital platforms for now and it is still too early to assess the market response. He said the lyrical<\/p>\n

video is doing well on YouTube and the streaming numbers are growing quite nicely. Passing a message to his fans, Mosotho Let\u0161ela said he has finally joined the industry.<\/p>\n

He said this is only the beginning of a journey and people can look forward to getting to know him through his music, \u201cI am a modern traditional guy with a<\/p>\n

diverse upbringing and unique experiences and my aim is to portray these stories through my music,\u201d he said. In an interview with Informative Arts&Lifestyle, one of the featured artiste in<\/p>\n

the single Sthembile Zungu known with her stage name Mathabo said working on this project made her realize how men carry so much pain because of the way<\/p>\n

that they are raised. \u201cMen are always told to be strong and not to show weakness which means they often have to suffer inside. This is why it was so amazing to have two strong Basotho men showing their vulnerable side and I truly learnt a lot from them,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
