But the question is are you tough enough to stand the heat on your journey to the top, where you become the topic? Potential is one thing, realizing it is yet another thing.<\/p>\n

You ought to get up, stand up and make a difference. The world is waiting to see you manifest. Do not allow procrastination and senseless ego to kill your potential. You are shooting star, continue to rise and shine.<\/p>\n

Life is bigger than you<\/b><\/p>\n

One of the reasons which enable you to live a fulfilling life is knowing that the world does not revolve around you even if you are a significant part of it.<\/p>\n

So, it is very important to understand that you are a vital cog of society. Yet at the same time, you ought to realize that you are not the main stay of society.<\/p>\n

So, stop being puffed up and overly important because you are building castles of fallacies. There has to be respect between the you , the leader and leadership team which you work with. and his big picture and self-worthiness. .<\/p>\n

Facts Matter, Opinion Do Not<\/b><\/p>\n

As leaders at times, we are guilty of feeding on the accolades and forgetting the big picture. The big picture of every leader is problem solving and creating an enabling environment for others<\/p>\n

to succeed. Leaders are important but no leader is indispensable. Mandela was probably the greatest leader in this century but he had to go. America still<\/p>\n

celebrates the life of possibly the greatest leader America has ever had, Martin Luther King Jnr. Can I ask where is he right now. The answer is he passed on.<\/p>\n

Barak Obama came to the helm of America lead them well for two years but now he is called the former president. As a leader, you should realize that you are temporary on your current position.<\/p>\n

Your most important job is to work yourself out of that position by raising someone better than you. This is why as leaders we should be willing to empty ourselves into other people\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n

Mentoring others is the only sure way of passing it on. We need to be leaders who are willing to pass on the baton so that we do not create a dearth in<\/p>\n

knowledge. Learn to let go I suppose I have made you very uncomfortable by telling you that in whatever position you operate in you a temporary person.<\/p>\n

Even if your title is managing Director, you are still temporary. This is why you should give it your best since all your assignments are casual deployments.<\/p>\n

This knowledge should liberate you to learn to let go. It has to start with understanding delegation. Every leader needs an efficient resource delegation and deployment system which will certainly release the<\/p>\n

leader in them to focus on strategic matters. Every leader out there is crying for help. Every leader has a leader. If you can help your leader, you are increasing their effectiveness. The idea of the delegation should be applauded.<\/p>\n

Delegation is for the best<\/b><\/p>\n

A lot of territorial leaders are not comfortable with the concept of delegation. They find their identity and importance in heir positions. So, the assumption on their part is that if they<\/p>\n

delegate their assignment to another person, they will get replaced should that person excel. So being insecure leaders makes them afraid of delegation.<\/p>\n

Yet in the life of big picture thinkers\u2019 delegation is acceptable. Now there is good in delegation. It makes you feel a monkey is lifted off your shoulders.<\/p>\n

True leaders are not blessed by personal accomplishment but are willing to keep their role low. They care more about what they can achieve as a collective. They realize that one is a significant number but team work is the real deal.<\/p>\n

Delegation is certainly the way to go if you want to succeed as a leader. Allow me to submit to you some of the benefits of delegation as we round up this delivery.<\/p>\n

Delegation liberates you from what is mundane and gives you the time and ability to focus on higher-level tasks, it allows you to be a strategic thinker which is where things really get conceptualised in<\/p>\n

helps to develop trust between workers and improves communication. Improves efficiency, productivity, and time management. In a nutshell it helps raise more leaders and<\/p>\n
