Sekonyela made the remarks at an agricultural show where he showed farmers the maize he had planted. The aim of the workshop was to jointly explore ways to alleviate hunger with improved white and yellow seeds, and to share the challenges and solutions caused by the heavy rains that fell last year and this most climate change.<\/p>\n

“In order to overcome the famine we are facing, we will have to produce more than ever before, farmers who grow and feed their families now is the time to produce Lesotho so that it can feed itself, Please plant seeds that respond to the current situation, we are facing a major challenge of climate change so we too need to adapt to change by using improved seeds, fertilizers and fertilizers not to mention pesticides.<\/p>\n

In his address, the Prime Minister, Dr Moeketsi Major, explained that the Ministry of Agriculture needs a government-led strategy, adding that all ministers within the sector are developing a plan that they want and that they want.<\/p>\n

they are meeting their ambitions, so he asked the new Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Hon. Keketso Sello, to ensure that the national plan is developed within the sector. Paragraph<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister commended the farmers and paid tribute to Sekonyela for his good work in giving zeal to everyone, saying that he should do so and educate others as he has progressed.<\/p>\n
