Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>With the aim to empower small business owners that are still battling the aftermath of Covid-19 and heavy rains, a woman entrepreneur, Voeswa Cheka organized a community business expo for Sehlabeng community on Saturday. Before the commencement of the expo, there was a workshop that served to equip entrepreneurs with marketing and entrepreneurship skills to help them recover and grow their businesses.<\/p>\n

As also one of the facilitators, Cheka said she was motivated to bring entrepreneurs together after the 2020 Dubai Expo which she happened to be part of.<\/p>\n

She said every entrepreneur was invited to join a free expo to showcase their products and network although the participation was not as huge as expected.<\/p>\n

This, she said, is a free gift from a heart that believes in giving. During the workshop, Cheka advised the business community to familiarize with the wheel of life in other to be successful.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe wheel of life contains God, self, food and a home,\u201d she noted, saying believing<\/p>\n

in God is very important because it gives direction and keeps motivation. She reflected that some businesses never recovered from the pandemic while some are still struggling to recover.<\/p>\n

She also mentioned that some businesses were affected by excessive rain fall that affected crop productivity, which also included direct physical damage, delayed planting and harvesting. Cheka said the expo is also another way of advertising, because having to gather in one place is a great opportunity to advertise to the<\/p>\n

target market and raise brand awareness. \u201cAlso it allows them to expand their firms before the buyers and build new clientele,\u201d she said. She urged the small business owners to take advantage of such opportunities. She said attending more expositions sells one\u2019s business and calls for valuable cooperate relations within the business community.<\/p>\n

At the expo, most stalls displayed cosmetic products, vegetables and food. One of the entrepreneurs, Tlalane Rasebonang who sells beans, wheat flour and peas said she is grateful to Cheka because she has leant to separate her personal life from her business, she also said she has gained a lot of motivation to do more and unleash her potential.<\/p>\n
