Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>The absence of legislation protecting the cyber space has a great impact on the potential of digital economy, says Deputy Prime Minister Monyane Moleleki. Moleleki was speaking at a one day cyber security symposium held at the Lehakoe Recreational Centre in Maseru on Monday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe world has become a village and brought closer by the digital revolution hence there are options like wireless connection that enable vast and smooth communication\u201d said Moleleki<\/p>\n

He further said Lesotho\u2019s cyberspace vulnerability has enabled cyber criminals to thrive, our country faces a risk of being involved in a network of cyber criminals and the digital interactions are also under a threat from attackers, saying some of the attacks on cyber are reported to have been launched from their territory by rogue elements in their society.<\/p>\n

\u201cUsers should change their passwords time and again or use fingerprints as their passwords\u201d said Nick Keen from Microsoft<\/p>\n
