Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>Today youth use talent to make a living, some through music, fashion design and sometimes poetry. In a bid to unleash talent and motivate local artists, a poetry and music movement<\/p>\n

\u2013 Petsoa Majoeng Arts & Entertainment (PMAE) \u2013 has assumed the role of an advocate, offering a platform for poets and musicians to showcase their talents and pursue their dreams in the entertainment industry. To<\/p>\n

improve their thoughtful mandate, PMAE will host its first ever poetry and hip hop event on Saturday June 4. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Arts&Lifestyle, PMAE Founder Nthare<\/p>\n

Makoae highlighted that the event is aimed at celebrating both their two artists Monono Makhoebe known as Queen Mo and Thabo Marebole also known as Mora<\/p>\n

Mobu. \u201cWe will be celebrating them and all that they have achieved in their career, also using them to promote music and poetry in Lesotho. This event will<\/p>\n

gather poets and rappers around to share their art and passion,\u201d he said. He indicated that PMAE has so far hosted over 20 shows through their event series<\/p>\n

called the Golden Mic Sessions. He said the event is also to groom future poets as well as create job opportunities for the youth. Makoae added that all their<\/p>\n

sessions are inspired by the will to create a platform for musicians and poets to share and collaborate. \u201cWe have poets that have begun their careers on our<\/p>\n

stage, artists that have collaborated through our platform and those that have improved their writing ability by learning from PMAE and other poets,\u201d he<\/p>\n

reflected. The event features Queen Mo and Mora Mobu as the headliners supported by Geerah, Seri. ay. long, Gifted, KTA Fatal, and Revelation, Homework, Muthi Mols and<\/p>\n

Blaze. All those are poets and musicians who have had the opportunity to grow into the music and poetry industry and have set up their careers through PMAE,\u201d<\/p>\n

noted Makoae. PMAE is an art and entertainment movement that was established in 2015, which focuses on poetry, music and events. They have hosted international actors such<\/p>\n

as Xitha Makgeta and Ntsiki Mazwai both from South Africa who collaborated locally with initiatives like Nala Market over the years. Poetry is a literature that evokes a concentrated imaginative awareness of experience or a specific emotional response through language chosen and arranged for its meaning, sound and rhythm.<\/p>\n
