Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>KTA All-stars concluded the Major League Basketball (MLB) season on a high note by defeating Simple-Talent and earning a crown for MBL Champions. KTA All-stars defeated Simple-Talent 60:56 in the best of 5 Series finals where the<\/p>\n

champions claimed their victory by winning three out of five matches played. The finals took place at Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) courts on Saturday. The MLB<\/p>\n

Champions were awarded gold medals alongside three seasons floating trophy and Simple-Talent (2nd place) received silver medals. Individual awards were as follows; Khothatso Thamae (most valuable player), Bokang Pharela<\/p>\n

(defensive player of the year), Nako Mofube (scorer of the year) and Mpho Mothobi (appreciation award). It had been<\/p>\n

an arduous expedition for KTA All-stars to have made it through to the MLB best of 5 series finals and eventually captivating to be MLB Champions. Having kept<\/p>\n

the momentum and fighting spirit from the onset with the first MLB leg in February, to the second in March, playoffs early May and finals end of May, was<\/p>\n

an indication that truly basketball develops fundamental movement skills and improves balance and coordination of players. The veterans cemented their legacy in their first game of MBL best of 5 Series finals where<\/p>\n

they were avoiding the looser title in case they flipped with Simple-Talent who were trying to establish their name in the finals. Despite the fact that KTA All-stars was cementing their legacy in their first game in the<\/p>\n

finals, their third game was thrilling and entertaining and had a trifling pace and exchange of baskets early in the game. It was in the same match that KTA All-stars were a bit skeptical about what will come<\/p>\n

around for them after Simple-Talent won 42:39, a win that seemingly prolonged their way to be MLB Championship title. This loss was due to KTA All-stars relaxation<\/p>\n

and cramps from some of their players, which affected their offensive momentum. In an interview with Informative Sport, KTA-All-stars Captain Rat\u0161olo Molupe disclosed that their goal<\/p>\n

was to make sure that they execute and finish the series in game four to hide the opportunity of younger hungry players who wanted to establish their name in<\/p>\n

the finals. Molupe added that due to more experience, skills and height dominion, they managed to lead the game from the get-go. \u201cIt was a really competitive game, closely contested, they did what they could but at the end of the day, our strategy came-atop,\u201d he indicated.<\/p>\n
