Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>Women Super League (WSL) big guns Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) and Kick4Life Ladies have drawn each other in the WSL Top 4. The draw sets up a tasty semi-final because whenever these two go head-to-head, whether it is in the league or in cup games, sparks always fly.<\/p>\n

Based on the history between the two teams, LDF have the upper hand but history does not matter over 90 minutes. FC Stoko will take on Basetsana in the first game of the tournament which is scheduled for October 15 and 16 at Bambatha Ts\u030cita Sports Arena.<\/p>\n

In previous years the WSL Top 4 was backed financially by the Lesotho Football Association (LEFA) and, for the first time ever, this edition is sponsored by the insurance company, Minet, and ALL4One Sports. The details of the sponsorships are yet to be revealed but Minet is set to support LEFA\u2019s competitions going forward.<\/p>\n

The women\u2019s league season is set to start in November and LDF Ladies, Kick4Life Ladies, FC Stoko and Basetsana were the top teams from the past season of competition which ran from January until May this year.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the draw, president of National Women Football Committee Baholo Motene said she hopes this will be a regular thing where women have something to play for.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe started with WSL in 2015 with eight teams, in 2018 we increased to 10 teams. It has been eight years since then and for the first time we have sponsors. I want to thank Minet and ALL4One for supporting women\u2019s football.<\/p>\n

I wish this to be a regular thing so that as women we can have something to play for,\u201d Motene said. Speaking on behalf of Minet, Mantai Mofoka said they will say more on the sponsorship next week but said the company\u2019s mission is to support women and children.<\/p>\n

Mofoka said Minet was approached to come on board as sponsors by LEFA\u2019s Mikia Kalati and Chris Bullock. \u201cOur mission as Minet is to support women and children, that\u2019s when Ntate Mikia and Chris approached us,\u201d Mofoka said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI said if it\u2019s children or women then they fall under what we consider our social responsibility. We will say more next week.<\/p>\n
