Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>The much-awaited hearing of the Lesotho vs Frazer Solar case, initially set for today, November 10 in South Africa has been postponed to a date yet to be announced.<\/p>\n

This comes after the South African government and its ministry of water filed an application to intervene in the case. This information is in a press statement released by Prime Minister Majoro\u2019s office today. On the other hand, Frazer Solar released a statement yesterday continues to beat legal war drums claiming Dr Majoro is capitulating.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo avoid losing, the Government of Lesotho has offered to delay proceedings in the South African High Court \u2013 suspending its demands to restore water royalties after their legal seizure by Frazer Solar (FSG),\u201d reads the media statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have no difficulties with GOL\u2019s demand that the hearing be delayed and royalties remain frozen.<\/p>\n

In one fell swoop, they have undermined their own case for urgency and their allegedly dire need for the financial royalties,\u201d adds FSG in the statement.<\/p>\n

The statement ominously ends by asserting FSG will win the legal battle and that, \u201cEach day that goes by, the final amount payable by GOL keeps increasing.
\n\u201d Only time will tell how Lesotho will get out of this.<\/p>\n
