Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>The Petroleum Fund Secretariat has announced another fuel hike which is set to be effective this Wednesday. The Public Relations officer, Mr. Rorisang Mahlo said the increased fuel prices will be effective on March 01, 2023.<\/p>\n

Both grades of petrol will increase by M0.80 cents per litre, while the pump price of diesel and Illuminating paraffin will remain unchanged for the period.<\/p>\n

Petrol93 is up by M0.80=M20.10, Petrol95 is up by M0.80=M20.40, Diesel50 remains M22.15 and Paraffin remains M17.60. The Petroleum Fund appeals to retailers to charge proper prices as it is illegal to charge prices different from the gazetted ones.<\/p>\n

The appeal comes from the previous observations that some retailers are charging prices that are above those ones set. Petroleum Fund stresses that any retailer who will be found not complying shall be prosecuted accordingly.<\/p>\n
