Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>Following the dismissal of over 300 nurses and nursing assistants at Ts`epong, a petition signed by at least 6 460 people demanding their reinstatement was today accepted by Government Secretary, Lerotholi Pheko.<\/p>\n

Pheko accepted the petition on behalf of Prime Minister Moeketsi Majoro. The petition appeals to him and his government to ensure the fired nurses are reinstated immediately.<\/p>\n

Speaking on behalf of the petitioners, Thuso Leina said they expect the nursing staff to be recalled to work immediately. \u201cUp to 6 460 and more people are concerned about this issue and if the government continues to delay, it is going do more damage and affect more people,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
