Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>Following a public outcry by parents and Basotho in general, the Tiny Tots teacher accused of sexually harassing pupils has resigned while the matter is being attended to by the courts.<\/p>\n

In a press statement, the school said it held a meeting soon after the accusations surfaced and a decision for corrective measures to be taken against the responsible teacher was reached.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile we appreciate the lead information on the matter from the police that would form the basis of the said inquiry, the concerned teacher has tendered his resignation with immediate effect on the 23rd March 2021,\u201d the statement explained.<\/p>\n

The school further explained that it is doing everything to ensure that all students are safe on the school premises adding that more mitigation strategies are going to be put in place to ensure that such incidents will not happen again at that school. The issue of the teacher, Tawanda Muradzikwa, a foreign national, is currently being handled by law enforcement agents.<\/p>\n
