Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>Lesotho international Thabiso Brown is excited with a new adventure in China after signing a one-year-contract with Dandong Tengyue, who play in the Chinese A division league.<\/p>\n

Brown moved to China after six years in South America, where he played in Bolivia and Peru. The former Kick4Life striker, who last featured for Likuena at the 2021 COSAFA, was previously in the books of Aurora FC, playing in the Bolivian Premier League.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a one-year deal and I\u2019m very anxious about the new experience in China. I hope to make use of the opportunity to the best of my abilities,\u201d Brown said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI still had a contract with Aurora in Bolivia, but we agreed to terminate and part ways as I wanted to explore new opportunities somewhere else.<\/p>\n

\u201d The striker also thanked Basotho, who have been behind him since he left the country to explore other opportunities abroad.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m grateful for the support that Basotho continue to show me, and I thank each and every one of them who have showed me the love as well as congratulating me on the move to China,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is no doubt that my career has grown in leaps and bounds since I moved abroad, and I will continue to work to make my career a success.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course, it\u2019s not easy being away from the family, but its part and parcel of being a football player,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The Mohale\u2019s Hoek born forward with seven caps for Likuena, said he has no regrets about his time in South America, where he has played in competitions such as Copa Libertadores and was at one stage in the race for the golden boot during promotional play-offs.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have made wonderful memories playing in South America and I have no regrets to be honest and I believe it played a part in opening doors for me to go to China as my next destination for my football,\u201d the hitman explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I finally retire, I will look back and say, it was a very brave decision for me to go play my football in South America, which a lot of people are not brave enough to do.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy time there really contributed a lot in my growth as a player and person,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Brown\u2019s career came to prominence during his time at Kick4Life where he was runners-up for the Premier League golden boot with 17 goals while eventual winner Mojela Letsie scored 18 during the 2016\/17 season.<\/p>\n
