One of the key factors driving Lesotho\u2019s energy market development is its participation in the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP), a cooperative initiative among 12 Southern African countries to optimize the use of available energy resources and facilitate the development of new energy projects. Established in 1995, the SAPP aims to provide reliable and affordable electricity to its member countries by integrating their national power systems into a unified regional electricity market.<\/p>\n
