Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>The Deputy Prime Minister (DPM), Justice Nthomeng Majara officially launched Project-Re, which seeks to inspire and lead Basotho to reconnect with founding values again, reunite as people and become a new Lesotho.<\/p>\n

In her speech during the launch held in Maseru on Monday, Justice Majara said it is important that the project is launched so that it works towards uniting the nation, adding that Basotho and Lesotho need new guidance and that can only be achieved if all stakeholders join efforts.<\/p>\n

She said King Moshoeshoe I worked tirelessly protecting and building the Basotho nation and that needs to be protected and cherished by all means. She further stressed that this is the time for the Basotho nation to take moments to reflect on where they come from and to map the way forward.<\/p>\n

Justice Majara added that this comes at a very crucial time when the country is undergoing a journey of Reforms and this will correlate and send a strong message to the public and Lesotho\u2019s partnerships that Lesotho is reforming.<\/p>\n

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Project-Re, Mr. Solly Mofoka said the launch is done ahead of the completion of 200 years of Basotho\u2019s existence and this is to mark a milestone and to map a way forward.<\/p>\n

Mr. Mofoka said it is sad that the celebration will be done at a time when Basotho are faced with many challenges that include killings, rapes and gender based violence to mention but a few.<\/p>\n

PROJECT Re- is a multi-stakeholder social transformation work process that seeks to create a better society and a new Lesotho as we come to our bicentenary year and go beyond.<\/p>\n
