Africa-Press<\/a> – Lesotho<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Kick4life Ladies are the new champions of the Women\u2019s Super League (Dare to Dream Championship) following their victory over Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) Ladies in the finals.<\/p>\n

The Women\u2019s Super league took a different turn this year as the games started at the group stages where the best two teams advanced to the final match.<\/p>\n

This new strategy was introduced due to the disruptions brought by the pandemic after the teams came back from the long layoff. \u201cI would like to thank God<\/p>\n

and the technical team of Kick4life for earning us this victory. We are humbled by this milestone and to me as the Head Coach and Kick4life as a whole, this<\/p>\n

win is a testimony that hard work, dedication and commitment pays. I joined Kick4life Ladies team last year (2020) as I was appointed from Kick4life male<\/p>\n

senior team and I think what influenced Kick4life Ladies team to win this League title is the different strategies and approaches we have implemented in the<\/p>\n

team. Those strategies include building the team internally, we redefined our team goals and objectives then implemented different approaches that helped to<\/p>\n

improve team tactical awareness and developed our own unique style of play,\u201d mentioned Kick4life Ladies Head Coach Elizabeth Yelimala in an interview with Informative Sport.<\/p>\n

Yelimala encouraged women to participate in sports and be brave to take leadership positions. \u201cEverything is possible, no one knew that one day the team under my leadership can be the<\/p>\n

Women\u2019s Super League champs following the fact that LDF Ladies soccer team was the only team in the country that dominates and wins almost every tournament.<\/p>\n

Young ladies that are preparing for retirement should start by helping in their teams as support staff and that will gradually influence them to gain experience,<\/p>\n

they can thereby start attending coach licensing courses,\u201d she added. Revealing their long term plan, she said the ladies will take a week rest during the off-season and will<\/p>\n

take on individual training programmes that will be monitored by the technical team as to prepare for the pre-season. She further stated that to improve the ladies football in the country; there should be more competitions, maybe two or more, saying the more the tournaments are hosted is the more teams can develop young players.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
