Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>Lesotho is expected to participate at the World Expo 2023, which was launched in Doha, Qatar on October 02. Speaking in a press conference on Thursday, the Minister of Trade, Industry, Small Business Development and Tourism, Mr.<\/p>\n

Mokhethi Shelile said Lesotho will be participating in several fields such as modern agriculture, technology and innovation as well as the environment. He said the benefits which Lesotho will gain from this EXPO include networking opportunities and trade between Lesotho and Qatar.<\/p>\n

He noted that it is at this event that participating countries will be allowed to showcase their cultural practices and norms during the national day which he said will open opportunities for Lesotho in terms of the tourism industry.<\/p>\n

Mr. Shelile therefore invited all Basotho producers who would like to have their products showcased at the expo to report themselves at the ministry\u2019s offices for such arrangements to be made.<\/p>\n

At least three Basotho are reported to have already been sent to work on Lesotho\u2019s stall, which was given by the government of Qatar. The Doha Expo 2023 is expected to end in March 2024.<\/p>\n
