Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>Minister of Finance and Development Planning Dr Rets\u030celisitsoe Matlanyane has announced the newly appointed members of the Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL) Board of Directors last week.<\/p>\n According to the statement issued by the RSL, the board has assumed its role effective from November 6. This announcement comes just two months after the Minister announced the appointment of the RSL\u2019s Commissioner-General \u2018Mathabo Mokoko who assumed the position on September 1.<\/p>\n Advocate Lindiwe Sephomolo King\u2019s Counsel (KC) has been appointed as the Chairperson of the incoming board. The incoming Chairperson is from the Association of Lesotho Employers and Business (ALEB).<\/p>\n She will serve along with other members drawn from different institutions including \u2018Matumelo Rebecca Ralebakeng from the Central Bank of Lesotho (CBL), Morongoenyane Florina Nyakane from Lesotho Institute of Accountants (LIA), \u2018Mamonaheng Koenane from Lesotho Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Ts\u030cireletso Mojela from the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Small Business, Libako Leisanyane from the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, and Dr Lerato Lerato from the Private Sector.<\/p>\n The new board comes when the institution is expected to collect \u201cmuch-needed\u201d revenue. Their different expertise will guide RSL to realizing the tax goals set by the government. The board members will serve for a three-year period.<\/p>\n \u201cThe newly appointed Board of Directors comprises distinguished representation from key sectors, bringing a wealth of expertise and experience to guide the strategic direction of RSL.
