Africa-Press<\/a> – Lesotho<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of Communications, Science and Technology (MCST) Hon. Tsoinyane Rapapa has called on the members of the public to make submissions of the names of the people to<\/p>\n

be given awards for their outstanding qualities and contributions they have made in society. This the Minister said on Wednesday this week at the press conference.<\/p>\n

As some of the events leading up to the celebration of His Majesty King Letsie III\u2019s birthday which is on July 17, there are awards conferred to the members of disciplined forces and<\/p>\n

civilians for their outstanding contributions in different spheres of life. Also the government\u2019s Spokesperson, Rapapa said the public should file their submissions accompanied<\/p>\n

by the motivations of their nominees to the Districts Administrators\u2019 (DAs) offices by Monday 12, who will forward those to the Celebrations Committee at the<\/p>\n

Ministry of Home Affairs to screen them and forward the prospective names who meet the criteria to the Cabinet for approval. He added that once the Cabinet has approved that list it will forward it to the State Council which<\/p>\n

will give them to the King for consideration. For the members of the disciplined forces, the lists are to be submitted by their institutions. In observance of the<\/p>\n

COVID-19 protocols, he said there will not be mass public celebrations this year for the celebration of His Majesty\u2019s birthday. This is a consecutive year that those celebrations remain suspended owing to the outbreak of the<\/p>\n
