Africa-Press<\/a> – Lesotho<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The newly appointed Lesotho Senior National team \u2013 Likuena interim Coach Leslie Notsi and Assistant coach Shalale Lehohla have announced the new changes to Likuena squad ahead of the Council of Southern<\/p>\n

Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) tournament scheduled for July 7th in South Africa, Nelson Mandela Bay. \u201cEight of the players have left the team including<\/p>\n

a player who had an angle injury. The technical team decided to release him. He will take four to five days to recover,\u201d Notsi said during a media briefing at<\/p>\n

Bambatha T\u0161ita Sports arena on Tuesday. Notsi continued to show that the team currently has 24 players remaining and the trimming process will carry on until<\/p>\n

they end up with the recommended final selection of 20 players expected to participate at the tournament. He, however said Lesotho is grouped with strong teams therefore they need experienced players.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is usually much pressure when preparing for this tournament but the players are working<\/p>\n

hard and this gives us hope that they will be focused. Time is too short to prepare for the tournament and the technical team needs to bring back the nations hope which was somehow shaken by the resignation of the former coach,\u201d<\/p>\n

Notsi noted. The players that have been released from the team are Moteloa Khemisi from Matlama, Tumelo Ngatane \u2013 Lesotho Correctional Service (LCS), Thabo Seakhoa \u2013 LCS, Manyatheli Ntobo \u2013 Lesotho<\/p>\n

Mounted Police Service (LMPS), Teboho Ratibisi \u2013 Lesotho Defence Force (LDF), Mokoteli Mohapi \u2013 Kick4Life, Koenehelo Mothala Linare, T\u0161eole Ranthimo \u2013 Linare<\/p>\n

and Thabo Lesaoana \u2013 Bantu, who has been injured. On the other hand, Former Likuena star and the newly appointed Likuena Assistant Coach Shalale Lehohla expressed<\/p>\n

gratitude for being part of the technical team, he noted that \u201csome things happen at the right time\u201d. \u201cThis is a great opportunity for me as a young coach to be part of the Lesotho Senior National team to share the skills<\/p>\n

that I accomplished as a player and also learn and gain experience from the veteran coaches. The team will play against some of the countries that we used<\/p>\n

to defeat when I was part of the squad, but lately those teams beat us,\u201d he said. He added that they are determined to bring back the spirit. Lehohla said<\/p>\n
