Africa-Press<\/a> – Lesotho<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>On Tuesday, the High Commissioner of India, Ms Ruchira Kamboj with Indian Association of Lesotho revealed the organization\u2019s accomplishments in its union with Lesotho.<\/p>\n

Kamboj said the two countries have multiple similarities hence their good relationship. She indicated the two countries have gone through colonialism therefore are able to assist one another as they are aware of the implications of the experience.<\/p>\n

\u2018\u2019Our relationship is formed on a strong bond as we share the same humility sentiments, with this we hope our relationship will go a long way. She described the Indian Community in Lesotho as impactful as they have contributed to the growth of Lesotho\u2019s economy in many ways.<\/p>\n

She underlined that, the government of India is always willing to help the government of Lesotho in various developments needed by the country. \u201cIn an effort to combat the devastating effects of food security in Lesotho, the government of India has donated 500 tons of rice to the government of Lesotho.<\/p>\n

We have also inaugurated the India to Lesotho center for advanced Information Technology Center at Lerotholi Polytechnic,\u201d Kamboj said. The relationship between the two countries is also marked by exchange visits with the purpose of growing economic partnership, and exchanging cultural programmes.<\/p>\n

Kamboj went on to mention the Prime Minister of Lesotho Dr Motsoahae Thabane\u2019s anticipated presence in India next month. On the other hand, the President of the Indian Association in Lesotho (IAL), Bisv Abraham koral, confirmed they are determined to work peacefully with Lesotho.<\/p>\n

He further noted their business is mostly the supermarkets venture and that there has never been a time an Indian store has been associated with selling expired food, which indicates their commitment to Lesotho and Basotho.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe value our relationship and we do not want anything to ruin it and we are hoping to go a long way as there are other projects in the pipeline to be implemented by the Indian government in Lesotho. Among those projects is the construction of Botho University that is expected to start in 2019,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
