Africa-Press<\/a> – Lesotho<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>In an effort to curb the spread of Covid-19, the First National Bank (FNB) donated 15 handwashing stations worth M80 000 to the Ministry of Health (MoH).<\/p>\n

When appreciating the washing stations the Minister of Health Hon. Semano Sekatle highlighted that the Prime Minister (PM) Dr. Moeketsi Majoro made a plea to businesses operating<\/p>\n

in Lesotho to make contributions, in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. \u201cWe are extremely grateful to the companies that have come to our assistance,<\/p>\n

made a contribution towards the fight against Covid-19 which is not easy to combat. I was not expecting something like this, so I am gratified to see the<\/p>\n

innovation of this washing stations, I suppose the bank has paid dearly for this equipment,\u201d Sekatle stated. He noted that there are number of things that need to be done, saying companies need to invest in the<\/p>\n

campaign of fighting against Covid-19. \u201cWe need vaccines, we also need many other facilities towards a healthier society, and these gifts before us will go<\/p>\n

a long way towards elimination of the pandemic,\u201d he acknowledged. Speaking at the handover ceremony FNB Head of Marketing and Communication Masakoane Marakabei indicated<\/p>\n

that as the Covid-19 pandemic continues to pose a global health risk, they found it necessary to part take in its control. \u201cWe saw an opportunity to support MoH with these 15 washing stations.<\/p>\n

The wash stations will continuously remind the public to wash hands regularly and to adhere to the safety Covid-19 protocols,\u201d she added. According to FNB Chief<\/p>\n

Executive Officer (CEO) Delekazi Mokebe, the bank is proud to have been able to assist the MoH in the fight against Covid-19. \u201cIn Sesotho, we say \u2018lehlanya lea bokaneloa\u2019 and we believe that together as a nation we can minimize<\/p>\n

the spread of this pandemic when we follow the World Health Organisation\u2019s (WHO) guidelines. We fully support the efforts of the MoH in protecting lives against Covid-19,\u201d said Mokebe.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
