Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>Fenerbahce head coach Jose Mourinho mounted a bizarre laptop protest during a Sunday Turkish Super Lig match after one of his team\u2019s goals was disallowed for being offside.<\/p>\n

Title contenders Fenerbahce won 2-0 at Antalyaspor as Serbian winger Dusan Tadic scored for the visitors, and Brazilian defender Thalisson put the ball into his own net in the second half.<\/p>\n

Mourinho, 61, who was hired by Fenerbahce in June after leaving Roma, put his laptop in front of a TV camera to protest the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) ruling disallowing a goal by Fenerbahce\u2019s Bosnian forward Edin Dzeko for being offside.<\/p>\n

The Portuguese head coach left his bench to signal to spectators that the VAR’s decision was incorrect.<\/p>\n

“I like good VAR. For me it doesn’t matter if it is Turkish or if it is from another nationality. I just want a VAR that helps the referee to take the right decisions.<\/p>\n

“For us it is a good goal. So I didn’t say a single word. I didn’t make any kind of pressure. I just put the laptop in there,” Mourinho told a post-match press conference.<\/p>\n

Fenerbahce, who were the last season’s runners-up in the Turkish league, have 16 points in seven matches, just three points behind leaders and defending champions Galatasaray.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, Fenerbahce will visit Twente for a UEFA Europa League fixture in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n
