Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>Instead of splashing out for overpriced activities in a crowded restaurant with tables packed ever closer together to accommodate more customers, a consultancy company, Cabana Solutions has organized 3rd annual Machache-Qiloane falls hiking in celebration of the month of love, February.<\/p>\n

The event aimed at enhancing tourism in the country will be held on February 17 2018. This is according to the company\u2019s marketing officer, Suping Lehloenya in an exclusive interview with the Informative Arts&Lifestyle last week.<\/p>\n

According to Lehloenya, the Machache-Qiloane falls hiking is an annual event organized by Cabana Solutions, a Basotho owned company with interest in various sectors such as tourism.<\/p>\n

He said the hiking event is meant to respond to Lesotho Tourism Development Corporation\u2019s (LTDC) call. \u201cAs Basotho, we should increase our participation in promotion of domestic tourism.<\/p>\n

\u201d Lehloenya said the event first started in 2016, though it was postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn the 8th to 9th December 2017, we hosted a successful similar event. The participants undertook a hike up the Machache Mountain and camped the night at Qiloane falls.<\/p>\n

On the last event, we had also engaged the paramedic services as a safety precaution, we were further highly cautious of cleanliness to the environment,\u201d he recalled.<\/p>\n

He said the increase in domestic tourism will in turn bring much needed benefits not only the national economy but also to the local communities in and around the tourism sector like those in Machache and Qiloane falls respectively.<\/p>\n

Asked why they chose Machache Mountain as a rightful venue for the event, he said it is due to its unique structure with undiscovered historical background and Qiloane falls for its uniqueness with several swimming ponds.<\/p>\n

He further mentioned stated that the event will not only be a fun filled adventure but also an initiative meant to promote healthy lives, as obesity and heart related diseases seem to become some of the highly dangerous issues world-wide. The event is scheduled to take place from 17th \u2013 18th February 2018.<\/p>\n

Activities lined up for the event include the following, hiking up the Machache mountain, horse riding for those who do not prefer hiking, camping at Qiloane Falls, swimming in the beautiful pond of Qiloane , stand-up comedy, braai and bonfire in the evenings among other events.<\/p>\n
