The move follows a landmark ruling from the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) in the Lassana Diarra case, which found that FIFA had breached EU competition law and restricted free movement by preventing Diarra from ending his contract with Lokomotiv Moscow to join Charleroi. <\/b><\/p>\n<p>The court declared FIFA\u2019s transfer regulations unlawful and damaging to players\u2019 rights. Empowered by the ruling, the JfP is now seeking justice for all players who, since 2002, have been constrained by FIFA\u2019s rules within the EU and UK.
