Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>Nigeria international, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, is set for a spell on the sidelines after sustaining a muscle injury during Lazio\u2019s 1-0 defeat to Roma in the Serie A last weekend.<\/p>\n

The midfielder was forced off early in the 14th minute and replaced by Read Belahyane. Tests have since confirmed he will be out of action for around a month.<\/p>\n

His absence compounds Lazio\u2019s injury woes, with Matias Vecino and Nicolo Rovella also sidelined for several weeks. Maurizio Sarri\u2019s side face Genoa away this weekend as they aim to bounce back from the derby defeat.<\/p>\n

For Nigeria, Dele-Bashiru\u2019s injury comes as a major setback ahead of next month\u2019s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The Super Eagles face Lesotho in Bloemfontein on Saturday, October 5, before travelling to Cotonou to battle the Squirrels of Benin Republic four days later.<\/p>\n
