In the second quarter (Q2) of 2021, the average organization experienced 818 weekly incidents.<\/p>\n

This figure has since more than doubled, soaring to 1,984 incidents per week by Q2 2025.<\/p>\n

This represents an increase of over 142% during this period. The figures show a persistent, year-over-year rise, with the number hitting 1,163 in Q2 2022, 1,258 in Q2 2023, and 1,636 in Q2 2024 before reaching the projected 2025 peak.<\/p>\n

This upward trend underscores the critical need for robust and evolving cybersecurity measures.<\/p>\n

The escalating threat highlights why efforts like October’s Cyber Security Awareness Month are vital to encourage organizations and individuals to enhance their digital defenses against increasingly sophisticated adversaries.<\/p>\n
