Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>A local artist, Rethabile Cassuel \u2018Nai, plans to make a name for himself across the African continent. Rethabile known as Omali Themba, aged 24, was born in the South African Gauteng province in Nkaneng, but was raised in Maseru, Lesotho.<\/p>\n

In 2005 he went to Liraoheleng LEC Primary School, Mapetla High School for secondary level in 2011, and in 2015 he went to St Joseph\u2019s High School. \u201cI fell in love with music back in 2012, inspired by the Kommanda Obbs-led crew, Lithuamajoe; I loved the fact that they made the Sesotho language sound so cool.<\/p>\n

Back in those days almost everyone wrote their music in English. In 2013 I also decided to form my own group that was called Maapara Kobo,\u201d Rethabile narrates.<\/p>\n

He then went professional in 2019 when he got signed under Sothokids Culture Modelling Agency. He has an EP that did amazingly well in the market; this was released in 2019 under the title \u2018Metso ea setso\u2019.<\/p>\n

This was a five track project that had powerful and personal songs like \u2018Motho ke ntho e joang?\u2019, \u2018Koli\u2019amalla\u2019 and a few more. He has collaborated with some of the local artists like Rumo la Koebe, Morena Sway.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe love is so overwhelming, it makes me so happy to finally see that people are loving, watching and understanding my art. It is all God, something I cannot explain in words.<\/p>\n

My new single is not yet out but the promotional videos that I have been releasing of the song have me feeling like a star because it is amazing how people cannot wait for me to drop this song \u2018Botle bo bokaalo\u2019 featuring Morena Sway,\u201d Nai says<\/p>\n

\u201cWith this kind of work and support I see myself, my name, my brand all over the continent representing the mountain kingdom,\u201d he adds . Besides music Rethabile is a model at Sothokids Culture Agency, a runway model specifically.<\/p>\n

\u201cI look up to Burna Boy, Sjava and Morena Leraba and I would love a feature with either one of them or maybe all of these African giants. My fans can expect the release of my new single with Morena Sway, \u2018Botle bo bokaalo\u2019, a music video later on and more of good music.\u201d<\/p>\n
