Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>Following news making rounds on social media about appointment of Mr. Thabo Khasipe as new Lesotho National Development Corporation (LNDC) Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the corporation Chairperson has refuted allegations.<\/p>\n

Ms. Palesa Matobako who is also Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Trade and Industry, told the Agency in an interview that as far as she knows Advocate Molise Ramaili is still an interim CEO.<\/p>\n

She said they have made recommendations to the Minister responsible for the appointment of the new CEO and they are still waiting for the outcome or announcement.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, in a brief interview Mr. Khasipe said he could not comment on the matter.<\/p>\n

Advocate Ramaili was appointed the Corporation Boss on May 24, 2021, bringing a wealth of corporate experience from diverse sectors including financial sector.<\/p>\n

Adv. Ramaili has served as Chief Operating Officer at Lesotho Post Bank and Letshego Financial Services, Head of Legal Compliance and Company Secretary at First National Bank after serving as Legal and Compliance Manager.<\/p>\n

The above-mentioned positions are preceded by his role at Vodacom Lesotho as the Senior Specialist, Legal Contracts and his first job as Legal Officer at the Water and Sewage Company.<\/p>\n

Adv. Ramali is an LLB graduate of the National University of Lesotho and completed high school at Machabeng College.<\/p>\n

He succeeds Mr. Mohato Seleke who was booted out after his contract expired and later joined the Lesotho Electricity Company as the Managing Director but later left after agreeing on mutual separation in June 2023.<\/p>\n

The Lesotho National Development Corporation (LNDC) stands as a pivotal institution in the economic development of Lesotho. Established in 1967, its primary mission is to spearhead and facilitate industrial and economic growth in the kingdom.<\/p>\n
