Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>The National Health Training College (NHTC) on Friday held its 26th Graduation Ceremony for the class of 2025 at the Manthabiseng Convention Centre in Maseru.<\/p>\n

The Acting Minister of Heath, Mr. Mokhethi Shelile, said this day marked not only the students\u2019 personal achievements but also a major milestone in the country\u2019s journey toward strengthening national health education.<\/p>\n

Mr. Shelile emphasised that autonomy is essential for innovation and sustainability, adding that the government, through the Ministries of Education and Health, is finalising legal frameworks to grant NHTC full independence.<\/p>\n

He mentioned that medical schools will adopt an integrated, multidisciplinary training model that promotes teamwork among medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and public health students.<\/p>\n

He added that the government is prioritising infrastructure improvements such as digital connectivity, refurbishment of teaching facilities, and better student housing. Concluding his remarks, he encouraged graduands to uphold professionalism, compassion, and integrity as they enter the workforce.<\/p>\n

NHTC Graduants await entrance into the Graduation venue on Friday<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cThe skills and knowledge you have gained are not for personal advancement alone, but for the healing and transformation of our communities,\u201d he said, urging them to be lifelong learners and ambassadors of excellence in the health sector.<\/p>\n

Vice Chancellor of the National University of Lesotho, Professor Isaac Olusola Fajana said this event marks a significant milestone for students, lecturers, and the institution alike, as it reflects years of hard work, dedication, and collaboration.<\/p>\n

Graduants happily await instruction to wear their hoods<\/b><\/p>\n

Professor Fajana encouraged graduands to embrace change and innovation as they step into a world of constant transformation marked by new diseases, technological disruption, and global challenges. He also applauded the faculty and administrative staff for ensuring the continued excellence of the institution and expressed gratitude to parents and guardians for their sacrifices<\/p>\n
