Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>The Global Fintech & Trading Excellence Network (GFTEN) has announced the launch of the Africa FX Curriculum Co-Development Tour 2026, an ambitious initiative designed to redefine how fintech and foreign exchange education is structured and delivered across the continent.<\/p>\n

Set to commence in February 2026 in Kampala, Uganda, under the theme \u201cCo-Creating Africa\u2019s Future in Forex and Fintech Education,\u201d the three-day launch event will bring together universities, regulators, policymakers, fintech associations, and trading academies.<\/p>\n

The goal: to collaboratively develop Africa\u2019s first harmonised Forex and Fintech Education Framework.<\/p>\n

The initiative seeks to move the continent beyond fragmented and unregulated training models toward a unified, skill-based, and globally competitive approach.<\/p>\n

It aims to equip African learners, educators, and innovators with the knowledge and tools to lead in the rapidly evolving digital economy.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur goal is to create a model where partnership equals progress,\u201d said Ivan Tracisio Wafula, Head of Partnerships at GFTEN. \u201cEach collaboration \u2014 whether with a university, fintech hub, or regulator \u2014 adds a vital layer to Africa\u2019s fintech learning infrastructure. That\u2019s how sustainable systems are built \u2014 through shared purpose.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following its debut in Kampala, the Africa FX Curriculum Co-Development Tour will continue to Lagos, Nigeria, and Johannesburg, South Africa.<\/p>\n

Each stop will adapt the framework to reflect local market realities and educational needs. The continental journey will culminate in the release of the Africa FX Education Framework Report, a benchmark document expected to guide fintech and trading education policy and practice for years to come.<\/p>\n

Through co-design workshops, innovation labs, and mentorship programs, the tour will connect policymakers, educators, and fintech innovators. The aim is to close the gap between academia and industry, policy and practice \u2014 and, ultimately, Africa and the global digital finance community.<\/p>\n

Registration for institutions, educators, and fintech associations is open on the GFTEN website until January 2026. Participants will gain access to exclusive co-development sessions, policy dialogues, and mentorship programs designed to accelerate the growth of Africa\u2019s fintech learning ecosystem.<\/p>\n

The Global Fintech & Trading Excellence Network (GFTEN) is an international alliance of fintech and trading education institutions committed to advancing innovation, ethics, and professionalism in digital finance. Working alongside universities, regulators, and industry leaders, GFTEN develops globally aligned curricula and certification programs that prepare Africa\u2019s youth for leadership in fintech and financial markets.<\/p>\n
