Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>As Lesotho and Botswana will be marking their 60 years anniversary otherwise diamond jubilee independence in 2026, some are aspiring for more inclusive collaborations.<\/p>\n

Batswana street vendors interviewed by the Agency are adamant both countries have a long standing relations citing and celebrating both countries artistic cultural heritage.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese are some of the marks we should celebrate together while also learning and acknowledging the impact Basotho youth musicians, cultural performers are making recently,\u201d Doreen Maemo has said.<\/p>\n

Ms. Maemo who sells Batswana\u2019s cultural attire in the streets of Gaborone indicated the importance of culture in nation building, urging the two countries through leadership to ensure a coordinated move so that the two nations could celebrate together by wearing their cultural attires as well as performances.<\/p>\n
