Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>The executive committee of Vodacom Premier League rookies CCX FC are against the dismissal of the club\u2019s Chief Executive Officer, Maponyane Letsie. Officials from the Leribe-based side disowned the letter sent by the club\u2019s President Moholi Thetsane to Letsie, stating that the letter is null and void since Thetsane reached the decision alone.<\/p>\n

CCX FC is under the Catholic Comprehensive Community College (CCCC), previously known as Technical School of Leribe (TSL). The club is managed by two parties with 30 percent being held by CCCC, while a 70 percent stake is in the hands of B-Division side, All Aces FC, located in Mohale\u2019s Hoek.<\/p>\n

CCX FC Communications and Marketing Manager, Makabethi Chondile, said that the club had partnered with All Aces FC from Mohale\u2019s Hoek which is the main shareholder so the committee comprises members from both clubs.<\/p>\n

He said the President (Thetsane) is from CCX FC, while Vice President Lethusang Nts\u2019ekalle is from All Aces FC. Chondile therefore said the management of the All Aces FC was not consulted about the dismissal of the Letsie as the CEO.<\/p>\n

He said instead of Moholi making the decision unilaterally, the issue should have been brought to the table to be discussed by the combination of the two clubs.<\/p>\n

But Chondile said not even Nt\u0161ekalle as the Vice President knew about the details of Letsie\u2019s suspension. \u201cI saw the letter but very unfortunately I saw it on social media,\u201d said Chondile.<\/p>\n

\u201cLetsie was never brought before the disciplinary committee by the President or anyone.<\/p>\n

\u201d Chondile further said: \u201cMembers of the committee met with the Vice President Nts\u2019ekalle. We were so worried about the way the issue of the CEO being fired trends on social media without the committee being informed.<\/p>\n

\u201cNts\u2019ekalle tried to reach the President through phone calls more than six times to hear his side regarding the letter but, unfortunately, he did not answer his phone.<\/p>\n

\u201d Letsie, on the other hand, said he never received the said dismissal letter personally, except only seeing the letter on social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cCCX FC is not the minority shareholder (of the merger) and, as a result, they cannot just fire me without hearing and without informing the main shareholder (All Aces FC),\u201d said Letsie, \u201cThis is why I don\u2019t know the reasons leading to the said letter of dismissal.<\/p>\n

\u201d Letsie, the former Lesotho international referee and the Lesotho Referees Association\u2019s Public Relations Officer, further revealed that he is serving as the CEO for both CCX FC and All Aces FC. Letsie was before suspended by the Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) in February last year.<\/p>\n

LeFA at that time said Letsie was suspended for bringing the association into disrepute on several occasions with his actions and comments, saying among other things he recently misrepresented to the Referees Committee by communicating to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) without the authority to do so.<\/p>\n
