Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong> <\/span>A local farmer and founder of \u2018One Nation Farm Produce,\u2019 Mr. Sello Molefi has called farmers including the youth to unite if more production is to be attained.<\/p>\n

The producer of various herbs including gooseberry mentioned this in an interview with the Agency, when encouraging more collaborations in the agricultural sector.<\/p>\n

He explained that as part of achieving collaborations, his entity has opened a digital platform where farmers and other businesspeople have gathered under one roof and in large numbers to explore how best to grow this industry.<\/p>\n

According to Mr. Molefi, the fact that the government has declared support publicly to farmers, is an opportune time for farmers to work more harder for more productions, maintaining good health through organic means so as to promote quality health among the nation.<\/p>\n

Mr. Molefi stated that with many farmers joining the group, the plan is to ensure that in less than five years, Lesotho achieve huge strides in as far as farming is concerned.<\/p>\n

Therefore, he has called all farmers from different places in the country to join hands and transform Lesotho holistically for achievement of SDG\u2019s, especially the one relating to alleviating poverty and hunger.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Agency has learnt that government through the Ministry of Agriculture is offering subsidy to farmers through Post Bank so that they are able to buy equipment that would ease their farming.<\/p>\n

Agriculture is not just a priority under National Strategic Development Plan ll review extension but it a means that today\u2019s government is encouraging the society to opt for so as to transform Lesotho economically.<\/p>\n
