Motsoahae Thabane and his wife \u2018Maesaiah Thabane of Makhoakhoeng, Ha-Nelese will be heard next year.<\/p>\n<p>These developments were revealed during the pre-trial interview at the High Court on Tuesday this week. They face charges of murder and attempted murder of Thabane\u2019s wife, Lipolelo<\/p>\n<p>Thabane. They are also charged with malicious damage to property. Their case will be heard from March 8 to 10, 2022. They are accused together with Rethabile Mokete popularly known as Mosotho Chakela,<\/p>\n<p>a Mosotho male residing in Bloemfontein, South Africa (SA), now deceased, Seabata Lieta a Mosotho male residing in Mangaung, SA, Macheli Koeshe, and Molefi<\/p>\n<p>Matima a Mosotho male residing in Seboke SA, also deceased. The accused are guilty of the crime of contravening the provisions Penal Code Act, 2010. They<\/p>\n<p>are also accused in connection to the murder of Lipolelo on June 14, 2017, at or near Ha-Masana in the outskirts of Maseru. They further face charges of an attempt to kill Thato Sibolla who was travelling in<\/p>\n<p>the same car with the deceased. She sustained injuries during the shooting of the deceased. Last year, Mrs Thabane was incarcerated for three weeks in connection with the<\/p>\n<p>murder of Lipolelo. She was later released on bail by the High Court. Meanwhile, Thabane was not formerly charged despite appearing before the Magistrate Court<\/p>\n<p>earlier in 2020. Representing the former Premier is Attorney Qalehang Letsika while Mrs Thabane\u2019s lawyer is Advocate Salemane Phafane King\u2019s Counsel (KC).
