The arrival of a new government car, he says, will go a long way toward improving service delivery across the district.<\/p>\n<p>Most ministries in Qacha\u2019s Nek still do not have vehicles, making it difficult for officials to reach communities and provide essential services. Speaking to the Agency, Pheku described the new car as a critical boost for the district.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am very happy to receive this Christmas gift in the form of a car,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith so few vehicles available, our ability to serve the public is limited. This new addition will allow us to support other ministries and respond more quickly to the needs of residents.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The handover, which took place earlier this week in Maseru, was part of a government initiative led by Prime Minister Ntsokoane Matekane. Seven districts including Leribe, Botha-Bothe, Mokhotlong, Quthing, Qacha\u2019s Nek, Thaba-Tseka, and Mohale\u2019s Hoek received vehicles to strengthen service delivery.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the handover ceremony, Prime Minister Matekane emphasized the importance of providing district administrators with resources to implement government plans effectively.<\/p>\n<p>He also noted that the Christmas period is particularly demanding, as many Basotho return from South Africa and rely on local authorities for assistance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven small support can make a big difference,\u201d he said. \u201cWith these resources, DAs can reach those in need more efficiently.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For residents of Qacha\u2019s Nek, the new vehicle promises faster and more reliable access to government services, ensuring help reaches those who need it most during the busy holiday season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ap-article-footer-note\">Find more news and analyses on <span class=\"ap-highlight-country\">Lesotho<\/span> on the <span class=\"ap-highlight-brand\">Africa Press<\/span> website<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Lesotho.
