Over and above that, he explained Lesotho is a water rich country and such will be showcased at this place.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want this place, as per instruction of the government, to be one of the best places locally and in Maseru to entice the locals and tourists when they arrive in the city.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Mr. Mofokeng, hand in glove with partners from the People\u2019s Republic of China, they are working tirelessly so that goals and targets set are attained soonest hence are still working even today.<\/p>\n<p>He appealed to Basotho to protect places such as these ones so that they remain a mark and symbol that taps into the emotions of other foreigners, indicating tourism can go a long way in promoting economic growth.<\/p>\n<p>He added things such as these have been seen in other countries of the world and it was time they happen locally.<\/p>\n<p>Makoanyane Square, where the Crocodile Monument is reported to have been erected in the early 1960\u2019s represents a curved screen wall surmounted by a large bronze crocodile with its mouth open, otherwise Lesotho national emblem.<\/p>\n<p>The same venue bears the statue bearing names of members of the army who fought in the World War I and II.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ap-article-footer-note\">Find more news and analyses on <span class=\"ap-highlight-country\">Lesotho<\/span> on the <span class=\"ap-highlight-brand\">Africa Press<\/span> website<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Lesotho.
