Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>Lioli Football Club (FC) Board of Directors on Tuesday announced the appointment of Mosholi Shoes Mokhothu as a new head-coach for the club for a period of two years.<\/p>\n

Mokhothu is Manoyane FC former head Coach who fills up the vacant position left by the late Lioli head coach Ntshieng Tomas Tshabalala who passed away last year following a<\/p>\n

short illness. According to Lioli media briefing statement, Mokhothu is the most successful coach in the Lesotho Vodacom Premier League (VPL) with more league honors than any coach and<\/p>\n

is expected to bring wealth of experience to the club. The statement further showed that Mokhothu has previously served as the coach of the club and won numerous cups with Lioli side.<\/p>\n

It also added that the appointment of Mokhothu means that Lioli Caretaker coach Vuyisane Mangaliso steps down and will proceed to his home country South Africa (SA).<\/p>\n

The Lioli Board of Directors congratulated Mokhothu on his new assignment and wished Mangaliso success in his future projects. Lioli FC President Lebohang Thotanyana in an exclusive interview with Informative<\/p>\n

Sport on Wednesday indicated that the Board of Directors is yet to set up the anticipated guidelines concerning Mokhothu\u2019s mandate to proceed within the club as they are in preparations to meet up with him next week.<\/p>\n

\u201cI consider Mokhothu as the best coach that will be more capable to assist the<\/p>\n

team regarding the long lasting experience he gained within the Lesotho premier league. He became an extensive coach for Lioli FC and won major and league<\/p>\n

trophies for the club even for the teams he worked for like Lesotho Correctional Services (LCS) FC and lately Manonyane FC. In every team he is given a chance to lead, he try by all means that to thrive,\u201d Thotanyana said.<\/p>\n

He also noted that Mokhothu will choose his own assistant coach following the withdrawal of Lioli FC Caretaker coach. Furthermore, Lioli FC Media Liaison Officer Motlatsi Mofokeng added that he has known Mokhothu<\/p>\n

for a couple of years while he was with Lioli in the past, and observed him as the most proficient coach who worked harmoniously and won main trophies for the<\/p>\n

team. \u201cMosholi worked hard for the teams that he was trusted to lead, I can make a mere example of Manonyane FC. Since his arrival at Manonyane FC he created a huge difference as the team seemed to be working very well in its games. This implies that he is an accomplished coach in the Lesotho football coaching fraternity,\u201d Mofokeng enlightened.<\/p>\n
