Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong> <\/span>Luca Zidane was one of the notable figures of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. A few months before the tournament, the goalkeeper chose to represent Algeria, a decision that sparked debate but was quickly justified on the pitch. <\/b><\/p>\n

Trained at Real Madrid, the son of the French legend delivered several solid performances with the Fennecs, earning the trust of supporters despite a quarter-final exit against Nigeria. Overall, his AFCON campaign left a positive impression.<\/p>\n

Upon returning to club football, the context at Granada looked uncertain. During the winter transfer window, the Andalusian club actively explored the market to bring in competition at goalkeeper, while Zidane himself attracted interest from abroad. In the end, Granada made no signing for the position, and the 27-year-old reclaimed his place between the posts immediately after the tournament.<\/p>\n

Since then, Zidane has chained together convincing displays in Spain\u2019s second division. Granada have picked up three wins, one draw and one defeat in their last five matches, a run that lifted them out of the relegation zone and up to fifteenth place.
