This effort,<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span class=\"ap-article-header-tag\"> <strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Lesotho. <\/strong> <\/span>The Ministry of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation (MICSTI) Convened with the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the National University of Lesotho to review progress on Lesotho\u2019s Digital Public Infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting received a presentation on three key systems that will modernize government services:<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 X-Road \u2013 to securely connect government ministries and enable electronic information sharing, reducing paperwork.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 MOSIP \u2013 to provide a secure biometric digital ID and improve access to public services.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Decision Support System (DSS) \u2013 to help government analyze data for better planning, budgeting and service delivery.<\/p>\n<p>The engagement highlighted the importance of collaboration between government and academia to build efficient, secure and citizen-focused digital systems that will eventually benefit entire Basotho nation.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry delegation led by The Principal Secretary Mr Kanono Ramashamole, reaffirmed its full commitment to support the initiative and provide resources for its profitable implementation.<\/p>\n<p>Lesotho has been working to modernize its public services through digital transformation, aiming to enhance efficiency and accessibility for its citizens.
